Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Oxford

Contract: Permanent, full-time

An established organisation in Oxford is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join its Estates team. The role is essential in maintaining a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment across a large and diverse estate of academic and residential buildings.

The Role

Reporting to the Mechanical Team Supervisor, you'll carry out reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and associated mechanical systems. You'll also install and adapt systems where required, undertake fault finding, and provide guidance to apprentices and colleagues.

What You'll Need

• A recognised mechanical services apprenticeship (e.g. City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3, Domestic Gas).
• Gas Safe registration and a sound understanding of relevant gas and water regulations.
• Strong time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
