Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer for Alderley Park, Macclesfield. The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site, fault finding on HVAC systems, BMS, and associated plant, and producing reports as required.

You will work with the engineering team and clients, prioritise workload, and may be called for out-of-hours support. Recognised mechanical and electrical qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification essential.
• Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification essential.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Experience fault finding HVAC systems and plant.
• Experience with BMS, LTHW, CLTHW, pumps, motors and LV power systems.
• Understanding of L8 ACOP.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Able to manage and prioritise workload.
• Good communication with clients and site teams.

About the role:

• Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 15:00
• £21.02 per hour PAYE (£41k salary equivalent)
• Start: Monday, 7 September 2026
• End: Monday, 9 November 2026
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site
• Fault finding and maintenance of mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, BMS, LTHW, CLTHW, pumps and motors
• Producing parts lists, estimated timescales and condition/dilapidation reports where required
• Out-of-hours call-out support may be required
