Overview

We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a leading facilities maintenance team working on a commercial building in the Horsham area. This contract offers an excellent opportunity to use your mechanical expertise within a well-structured, professional environment focused on building servicing and operational reliability. There is also strong potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Details
  • Contract Type: Temporary with potential to go permanent
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
  • Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (pro rata)
The Role

You'll be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance and servicing tasks across the site, including inspections, fault-finding, and ensuring all systems operate efficiently and safely.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building services or facilities maintenance, with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrable experience in facilities maintenance or building services
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC, and plant operations
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and statutory compliance
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
