Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a dynamic Total FM team. This role involves carrying out maintenance, repairs, testing, and inspection of building systems and mechanical services across various sectors including education, leisure, corporate, health, and living. The position ensures facilities operate at their best by maintaining high standards and compliance with relevant procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned maintenance according to the PPM schedule, maintaining accurate records and completing service reports as required.
  • Perform installation tasks involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.
  • Assist other skilled trades in maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection, and installation work.
  • Conduct minor repairs to building fabric to ensure safety and security of premises.
  • Collaborate with partners and colleagues to deliver a customer-focused service.
  • Work closely with the Helpdesk to ensure jobs raised on the CAFM system are closed correctly.
  • Participate in a rotating shift pattern (6am - 4pm and 10am - 6pm, Monday-Friday) and the out-of-hours on-call rota.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications in gas safety and mechanical engineering.
  • Proven experience in gas and mechanical engineering.
  • Ability to participate in the on-call rota system.
  • Practical knowledge of statutory compliance requirements.
  • Satisfactory DBS clearance at an enhanced level.
  • Full driving license.
