Job summary

A UK manufacturer in the metals industry is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. This position offers a salary of £42,500 with overtime opportunities and a stable working environment. The ideal candidate will have an apprentice-trained mechanical background and experience with mechanical systems. You will be expected to support PPMs and reactive maintenance across the site, focusing entirely on mechanical tasks.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Days Only – £42,500 + OT

Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking for a steady, long-term role with a great team environment? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long-established UK manufacturer supplying into the metals industry.

We’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support PPMs and reactive maintenance across our site. You’ll be working with conveyors, gearboxes, motors, hydraulics, chains, and rams, with workshop support for machining and fabrication. Electrical work is handled by contractors – this role is 100% mechanical.

What’s on offer for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
  • Salary £42,500 (£20.45ph) + overtime
  • Regular days shift pattern:
    • Monday: 6am–2pm
    • Tuesday–Thursday: 8am–4pm
    • Friday: 6am–2pm
  • 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
  • Pension scheme
  • Overtime premiums (including paid minimums for callouts)
