The Opportunity
Mechanical engineers are essential. With in-depth mechanical knowledge and the ability to fix anything, they are the heroes of the engineering world.
At some point, you might want to transition from hands-on work to a surveying role, testing and inspecting lifting equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
We are seeking a mechanical professional with lifting equipment experience to develop a long-term career with a world-leading organization that invests heavily in your development, offering ongoing training and opportunities.
Compensation is attractive, with potential to earn over £52k including overtime, car allowance, pension, holidays, bonus, and world-class training.
The Person
We're open to various backgrounds, but we prefer candidates with HNC-level education and experience in maintaining and servicing lifting equipment and mobile plant (e.g., MEWPs, excavators, lifting tackle, HIABs, powered access).
Most importantly, you should be eager to learn new skills and leverage your mechanical knowledge for career growth. Knowledge of inspection procedures, LOLER, and PUWER would be advantageous.
The Role
This role involves applying your mechanical skills to testing and inspecting lifting equipment across various sectors like marine, agriculture, manufacturing, power plants, and airports. You will manage your own schedule and visit different sites, ensuring equipment safety.
Training can last up to six months, providing a great opportunity to acquire new skills within a reputable company.
