The basics

Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Chesterfield - Near Ashover

Shift: 4 On, 4 Off (2 Days, 2 Nights) - x7 blocks before 18 days off then rotates back to the beginning of the next 7 blocks. Holiday allowance included within the shift pattern.

Salary: £50,159 + Bonus + Overtime = £55k and upwards achievable

Bonus: From 6 months onwards = up to 10% of salary, up to £300 production bonus per quarter, up to £60 health and safety bonus per quarter and up to £1500 per annum additional bonus.

Overtime rates: x1.5 Mon-Sat and x2 Sunday

Benefits: Up to 10% pension contribution, x3 salary death in service, Canteen, Uniform, Bonus.

Overview

Working for a large manufacturing business that have plants across the world we now require a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the shift mechanical team.

The ideal candidate / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer may have some of the following experiences, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

  • Time served apprenticeship
  • Strong Mechanical Maintenance background, working within automated manufacturing/ production environment or similar
  • Knowledge and understanding of Gear Boxes, Motors and Conveyors
  • Educated in a relevant engineering discipline - City and Guilds/NVQ level 3/HNC/HND etc
Commutable from

Chesterfield, Alfreton, Clay Cross, Belper, Buxton and surrounding areas.
