A leading manufacturing company in Anstey is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to provide maintenance for CNC and specialist machinery. The ideal candidate will have an HNC in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in an engineering environment, focusing on fault-finding and repairs. Qualifications

• Up to date knowledge of equipment and techniques.

Overview

We are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for my client based in Leicester (LE4 1BF).

Working Hours

Permanent, day‑shift position (Mon-Fri, 6am-2pm)

Salary

£35,000 per annum.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical maintenance to a wide range of CNC and specialist machinery
• Mechanical repairs to gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drive chains, pumps and tanks
• Manage and resolve reactive breakdown repairs, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum
• As required, carry out major refurbishment of plant, equipment and machinery
• PLC fault finding and interrogation
• Investigate reported faults, identify the cause and decide the necessary course of action to rectify the fault
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Comply with legal requirements and work within Company health and safety guidelines
• Candidate will be expected to work across all company sites in Leicester

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years experience in an Engineering environment which includes experience of fault‑finding and repairing CNC multi‑axis machines
• Conversant with Fanuc & Siemens controls
• Conversant with present and emerging technology, up to date knowledge of equipment and techniques
