A leading facilities management provider is seeking a Mechanical Lead Engineer to support a prestigious law firm in London. You will manage a small team, ensure smooth operation of critical building systems, and handle planned and reactive maintenance. Qualified candidates should have commercial building experience and strong technical skills. The role is located in a state-of-the-art office environment offering a competitive salary of up to £46,000 per annum.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified to recognised mechanical standard (HNC, HNC C&G).
  • Previous experience of supervising and running a commercial building.
  • Knowledge of working with a budget and knowing how to manage costs.
  • Experience of working in a building services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a small team on site.
  • Carry out hands-on PPM / Reactive maintenance.
  • Organise and manage all planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Ensure health and safety is adhered to and all paperwork is complete.
  • Attend client meetings.

Mechanical Lead Engineer – FM Service Provider – Global Law Firm – City of London – Up to £46,000 per annum

CBW is currently recruiting for a Lead Engineer to support a prestigious global law firm based in London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world‑class facilities management team delivering exceptional service within a fast‑paced, professional environment. The site is a leading international law firm known for its high standards, global reach, and work with major financial institutions, corporations, and governments.

As part of the on‑site engineering team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of critical building systems, maintaining compliance, and supporting the firm’s day‑to‑day activities in a state‑of‑the‑art office environment.

As this is a law firm, the customer care and presentation is of utmost importance. Candidates must have a strong technical understanding and must also be able to demonstrate a proven track record in the commercial building services environment, with excellent personal skills.

Working Hours
  • 07:00 am – 04:00 pm
  • 09:00 am – 06:00 pm
Other Objectives (but not limited to)
  • Manage a small team on site
  • 60% off the tools
  • Carry out hands‑on PPM / Reactive maintenance
  • Organise and manage all planned and reactive maintenance
  • Manage a small team of multi‑skilled engineers
  • Ensure health and safety is adhered to and all paperwork is complete to correct standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of plant rooms
  • Ensure reactive maintenance is undertaken in accordance with the contract
  • Manage minor improvements
  • Attend client meetings
  • Manage contractors
