Mechanical Lead Engineer - Healthcare FM

Location: West London

Hours: Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

A leading Facilities Management provider is recruiting for a Mechanical Lead Engineer to lead a team across a large, critical healthcare site in West London. This is a key leadership role within a highly regulated environment, ideal for a senior mechanical engineer ready to step up or an existing lead looking for a flagship contract.

The Role

You will be the technical authority for all mechanical systems on site, leading a team of engineers and ensuring the estate operates safely, efficiently, and fully in line with healthcare compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a team of mechanical engineers
  • Oversee all mechanical plant, including boilers, pumps, HVAC, and water systems
  • Ensure full compliance with HTM, HSG, and statutory regulations
  • Manage PPM schedules, reactive maintenance, and small works
  • Supervise contractors and specialist service providers
  • Carry out audits, reporting, and performance monitoring
  • Act as the main mechanical point of contact for the client and senior site management
  • Support lifecycle planning and project delivery
What they Looking For
  • Strong background in mechanical building services within FM
  • Experience in healthcare, hospitals, or critical environments
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
  • Sound knowledge of water hygiene, boilers, HVAC, and plant rooms
