Job summary

Land & Sea Resources Limited seeks a Mechanical Inspector for an ongoing project in Walsall, focused on stainless-steel fittings for a carbon capture plant.

The role requires CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector and PCN Level 2 in Radiography and DPI, with proven mechanical/welding inspection experience in oil & gas or heavy engineering. Right to work in the UK is essential. You will review inspection docs and support QA alongside production teams.

Qualifications

• A qualified Mechanical Inspector with experience in manufacturing/fabrication, oil & gas, energy or heavy engineering.
• CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector and PCN Level 2 in RAD and DPI are required.
• Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections of stainless-steel fittings and fabrication.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections.
• Support welding and fabrication quality control.
• Carry out or interpret relevant NDT examinations within certification scope.
• Review inspection and test documentation.
• Identify defects, non-conformances and quality issues.
• Ensure inspection activities align with project specifications.
• Work closely with production, welding and quality teams.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and reports.
• Support overall QA requirements of the project.
