A global inspection service provider is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to conduct inspections on manufactured parts and assemblies in the aerospace sector. The role requires a minimum of 3 years' experience in aerospace manufacturing and proficiency in using various mechanical inspection tools. Candidates must be able to read engineering drawings and are required to report findings directly to clients. This ongoing contract role offers flexible hours based on supplier needs.
Industry: Aerospace/Defense. Position: Mechanical Inspector. Location: Portsmouth. Duration: On‑going contract. Frequency: as needed. Full time 8‑10 hours/week (no guarantee of weekly hours, based on supplier shipment requirements). Pay: £30 p/h, outside IR35.

The quality inspector - Mechanical shall travel to various supplier facilities to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or sub‑assemblies. Parts will be inspected to engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications. The inspector will be required to report inspection accept / reject information directly to the customer via web application.
