UNICAT Technologies in Huddersfield is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join the Process team. The role covers mechanical fitting, welding, pipe fitting and fabrication across diverse projects in the combustion and industrial sector.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of industrial experience, apprenticeships in multiple trades, and the ability to read drawings. The position offers 40 hours per week, with an early finish on Fridays and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in mechanical fitting, welding, pipe fitting or fabrication.
• 3-5 years' experience in industrial environments.
• Experience across multiple trades and ability to read technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
• Work on combustion industry equipment and systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Align, fit and assemble components using hand and power tools.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs.
