Mechanical Fitter (Water Treatment / CSO Screens)

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 (54k OTE). Benefits include company van, manufacturer‑led training, optional overtime paid up to 2× rate, and healthcare.

Are you a Mechanical Fitter/Service Engineer or similar looking to take the next step in your career with an industry‑leading firm in the water sector? We offer a Monday‑to‑Friday, days‑only role with a company vehicle, early finishes on Fridays and optional overtime to boost earnings.

Responsibilities

• Service water treatment equipment across a Yorkshire patch.
• Provide planned and reactive maintenance of CSO screens and associated mechanical equipment.
• Maintain quality and standards of work, including filing necessary reports.
• Ensure that maintenance procedures satisfy company and regulatory requirements.
• Work independently in the field, scheduling visits and coordinating with site personnel.
• Use the company vehicle to travel to sites within Yorkshire; fuel and tools supplied.

Qualifications

• Mechanical NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, with mechanical level 3 NVQ preferred.
• Relevant background in water treatment or CSO equipment.
• Experience with mechanical fitting, servicing, and maintenance in a field service role.
• Good problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work safely and adhere to health & safety regulations.
