Position: Mechanical Fitter - Pharmaceutical
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Benefits (include off‑site allowance, pension, holidays, additional benefits listed below)
Job Overview
- Take ownership of all mechanical build documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assemble and fit mechanical components to tight tolerances, including limits, fits, and shaft clearances.
- Work collaboratively within a multi‑skilled team, including Electrical and Control Engineers, to ensure timely completion of full equipment builds.
- Liaise with engineering teams to resolve issues relating to fit, function, or design.
- Inspect mechanical components, main fabrications, and pressure vessels at supplier premises.
- Ensure all tasks are carried out safely and in line with H&S requirements.
- Report non‑conformances via established quality systems.
- Support the Production team with day‑to‑day activities and provide regular updates on contract progress.
- Assist with off‑site installations at customer sites as required.
Requirements
- Time‑served mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a similar mechanical fitting role.
- Experience with pressure vessel testing (desirable).
- Hands‑on experience with agitators, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to read and understand assembly drawings.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
