Position: Mechanical Fitter - Pharmaceutical

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Benefits (include off‑site allowance, pension, holidays, additional benefits listed below)

Job Overview
  • Take ownership of all mechanical build documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assemble and fit mechanical components to tight tolerances, including limits, fits, and shaft clearances.
  • Work collaboratively within a multi‑skilled team, including Electrical and Control Engineers, to ensure timely completion of full equipment builds.
  • Liaise with engineering teams to resolve issues relating to fit, function, or design.
  • Inspect mechanical components, main fabrications, and pressure vessels at supplier premises.
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out safely and in line with H&S requirements.
  • Report non‑conformances via established quality systems.
  • Support the Production team with day‑to‑day activities and provide regular updates on contract progress.
  • Assist with off‑site installations at customer sites as required.
Requirements
  • Time‑served mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a similar mechanical fitting role.
  • Experience with pressure vessel testing (desirable).
  • Hands‑on experience with agitators, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings.
