A leading forging company in Sheffield seeks a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, installing equipment, and ensuring safety compliance. Candidates should have experience in a heavy forge environment and be apprentice trained. The position offers a competitive salary, training opportunities, and generous holidays.

Independent Forgings and Alloys (IFA) have an exciting opportunity to join their Maintenance Engineering team as a Maintenance Fitter. The role is working Monday to Friday on a 3 shift basis.
We would like you to be an apprentice trained Maintenance Engineer who is mechanically bias. You must have experience in a heavy forge environment coupled with good working knowledge of hydraulics, and mobile plant maintenance skills (manipulator, FLT and OHC). Experience of break downs on presses, hammers, lathes and borers would also be beneficial, however not essential.
We manufacture high-integrity, open-die and closed-die forged components in nickel alloy, titanium, stainless steel and carbon alloys for customers and tier‑one suppliers within the aerospace, nuclear, power generation, marine as well as oil and gas sector. We are unique due to the combination of open and closed-die forging while also undertaking the whole production process from raw material to the finished product in one location.
