• Job title: Mechanical Fitter
• Location: Rochester – with UK and international travel
• Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 pa depending on skill level + overtime
• Hours: 39 hours per week, 45 minute break
• Typical schedule: Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm; Friday 8am to 2pm
• Benefits: Annual leave – 22 days in year one, rising to 25 days pa in year 2, overtime and travel payments, contributory pension, uniform, free parking

Responsibilities

• The Mechanical Fitter role is mainly workshop based working as part of a small team building new machinery.
• The role will involve assisting in assembling, servicing, dismantling, moving machinery in the UK and abroad (Europe, Philippines, Malaysia, India etc).
• Usual travel is typically for no more than a week at a time approximately 5 times a year

• Mechanical assembly – excellent attention to detail
• Read technical drawings
• Manual milling / turning – able to manufacture simple jigs
• Electrical knowledge desirable, not essential
