Mechanical Fitter

Manchester

£35,000

Responsibilities
  • Work on heavy vehicles, performing fitting and maintenance.
  • Use calibrated and power‑assisted tools, including torque tightening.
  • Work within a 39‑hour week on a 2‑week shift pattern (Week 1: Mon–Thu 06:00–14:30, Fri 13:30; Week 2: Mon–Thu 14:00–22:30, Fri 10:30–18:00).
Requirements
  • Complete a criminal convictions questionnaire.
  • Pass a basic DBS check.
  • Pass a Drugs & Alcohol test.
  • Pass a full rail medical examination (sight, hearing, vision, heart, lungs, balance).
  • Provide Right to Work documents before deployment.
  • Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude.
  • Experience with calibrated and power‑assisted tools and maintaining light‑ and heavy‑weight vehicles, plant and machinery.
