Are you a mechanical fitter with experience working with heavy machinery or in a timber mill setting, looking to work within a company who will reward you for your efforts with a generous annual bonus and exciting career progression?

This company was founded in the 1800's and is recognised as one of the top sawmilling companies in the UK. Employing over 100 members of staff, they still strive for a friendly and hardworking community. They predominantly supply high quality softwood to the construction and packaging industries.

The ideal candidate will be working fully on-site, providing quick response for any breakdowns or repairs to heavy duty machinery and sawmilling equipment. You will be diagnosing and problem solving hydraulic equipment and pipework to ensure the upkeep of proficiency in the sawmilling process.

This role would suit a mechanical fitter with experience maintaining and repairing heavy machinery, eager to progress their career and boost their salary package within one of the leading softwood suppliers in the UK.

The role:

• Maintaining heavy machinery and sawmilling equipment
• Responding to breakdowns and repairs for equipment swiftly, to ensure efficient running of the mill
• Be able to work in part of a team and independently

• Diagnose and fault find any hydraulic issues with equipment
• Manage and maintain pipework throughout the mill
