Cheltenham – Travel required to US & Canada (All expenses paid)

Salary

£15.00 to £17.50 P/H + OT x 1.5 base rate – Permanent Employment

Due to continued growth and success, my client requires 2 x Electro-Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Fitter to join their business on a permanent employment basis, based at their site near Cheltenham.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the assembly and installation of industrial machinery and conveyors
• Use general hand tools and power tools for assembly and fitting
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and follow written instructions
• Work in hygienic environments and comply with health and safety requirements
• Previous experience with electric, pneumatic systems and valves
• Travel to client sites in the US and Canada – expected around 5 times a year for 2 to 3 weeks at a time

Skills & Experience Requirements

• Experience in a Mechanical Assembly and/or Electromechanical Assembly role
• Experience with mid-size mechanical assemblies
• Good use of hand tools and power tools, with eye for detail and accuracy
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Open to learning new skills such as electrical control systems
• Flexibility to travel and work away from home – typically up to 2 weeks at a time
• Full UK driving licence
• Legal ability to enter the USA and Canada with no restriction
