Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking a Mechanical Fitter for a dayshift role in Hathern, Leicestershire. You will perform planned maintenance on automated production lines and respond quickly to mechanical faults to minimise downtime, helping sustain a high-output manufacturing environment.

The role requires a strong mechanical engineering background, with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering background with relevant qualification.
• Experience in maintenance in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Proficient fault finding on production machinery.
• Ability to work in fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery.
• Responding quickly and effectively to mechanical breakdowns.
• Mechanical fault finding and diagnostics.
• Repairing, servicing and maintaining production and manufacturing equipment.
• Stripping down and rebuilding mechanical components.
• Carrying out fitting, alignment and adjustment of machinery.
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times.
