Mechanical Fitter - Contract Position

A well-established engineering company specialising in steel fabrication and installation is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to support the production and assembly of large-scale equipment. Based in the Wrexham area. Travelling will be paid for.

The role involves hands‑on mechanical fitting work on‑site, contributing to the construction and installation of heavy structural and production systems. This is a contract role running up to Christmas.

This role would suit skilled Mechanical Fitters with a strong background in working on industrial or construction sites. Ideal candidates will be practical, safety‑conscious, and confident in handling large mechanical assemblies. Those who thrive in a busy, team‑focused environment and are open to working overtime will be well suited to this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, install, and align large mechanical and production equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with fabrication and installation teams to meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure all mechanical fittings meet precise quality and safety standards.
  • Assist with site moves and the positioning of large‑scale structures.
  • Carry out maintenance, checks, and adjustments as required during production operations.
