What You’ll Be Doing
  • Deliver safe, professional, and efficient planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse range of equipment.
  • Maintain equipment including forklift trucks, cranes, trailers, portable generators, Manitou Rotary Telehandlers, and Charlatte tow trucks.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, performing maintenance, repairs, and testing on mechanical systems, plant, and machinery.
  • Ensure tasks are completed within reporting boundaries and to the highest standards, with a solid understanding of KPIs.
You’ll Have
  • Solid foundation in mechanical engineering, ideally with a mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Possession or progression toward industry-recognised qualifications (e.g., NVQ or City & Guilds).
  • Proficiency with a wide range of hand tools and equipment; ability to maintain and repair plant machinery, particularly forklift trucks and cranes.
  • Strong fault finding and rectification skills.
  • Ability to produce clear, detailed reports to support work.
  • Comfort working with technical specifications and a sound understanding of safe systems of work, prioritising safety.
About You
  • Customer interaction is vital; build and maintain positive relationships and manage expectations professionally.
  • Rostered on-call involvement to support Harbour Radar repairs during normal and out-of-hours periods.
  • Adaptability to changing requirements and resource availability; provide regular progress updates to the Team Leader.
  • Tasks will be assigned via a mobile application; manage and deliver work orders efficiently.
