About the Role

You will support maintenance and workshop operations. This hands‑on role involves servicing and repairing mechanical equipment such as conveyors, drag chains, valves and other industrial machinery. The position is full‑time and has potential to transition to permanent employment for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment, including conveyors, drives, valves, and industrial machinery.
  • Disassemble, inspect, service, and reassemble mechanical parts to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Operate hand and power tools; provide welding or fabrication support as required.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, breakdown repairs, and preventative servicing.
  • Assist with mechanical upgrades and refurbishments.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment logs.
  • Adhere to workplace safety procedures, PPE requirements, and WHS regulations.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience on conveyors, valves, drives, or heavy‑duty machinery.
  • Competent with hand and power tools; able to perform precise mechanical adjustments and repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings or job sheets accurately.
  • Physically fit and able to handle mechanical components as required.
  • Safety‑conscious, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
