Paye Rate: £21.50/hour (rising to £23.50/hour after training)
Hours: 42 hours/week (No current overtime)

Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a long-term project involving the assembly of Suspended Internal Platforms (SIPs). This is a mechanical assembly role and we are looking for strong assembly experience, use of bobtail techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to read and work from engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly and fitting of Suspended Internal Platforms (SIPs)
• Use of Bobtail techniques and other mechanical fitting tools
• Working from technical drawings and instructions
• Assembling components to specification
• Collaborating with team members to meet project milestones

Requirements

• Proven experience in mechanical assembly/fitting
• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Assembly or Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Familiarity with Bobtail techniques
• Able to work at height
• Reliable and committed to completing a 12-month project
• Team player with a strong work ethic

Pay & Progression

• Starting rate: £21.50/hour PAYE
• After training (typically completed within 2 weeks): £23.50/hour PAYE
• 42-hour working week (no overtime currently available due to start of project)
