Job summary

A well-established company in Taunton is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their team. In this varied role, you will build and assemble special purpose machinery, working from engineering drawings and using both hand and power tools. Ideal candidates will hold a mechanical engineering qualification and have experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. Mechanical Fitter (Machine Assembly)

Taunton, Somerset

£18.29 Per Hour DOE + Premium Overtime Rates (5-10 Hours per Month) + Increasing Holidays (Up to 25 Days) + Bank Holidays + Free Parking + Sick Pay

37.5 Hours per Week - Monday to Thursday 08 : 00 to 16 : 30, Friday 08 : 00 to 13 : 30

Mechanical Fitter required to work in a varied and technically challenging role. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established company with a global reputation during a busy period of growth.

Candidates will need to be a mechanical engineer with experience working in a technical assembly / machine fitting position. You will hold a relevant mechanical qualification and will have experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, hand tools and power tools.

Working in a team of 5-6 people, the successful Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for building and assembling special purpose machinery based from engineering drawings.
