This role offers a competitive pay rate of £18.00 - £20.00 per hour and a contract of 2-3 months, with potential for extension. Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK.

Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a bespoke and successful engineering business. A global supplier with several decades of experience, this is one of their most exciting periods, with an increase in demand for their product leading to growth and investment onsite.


Role and Pay

Mechanical Fitter – Pay and Hours



  • £18.00 - £20.00 per hour (via Umbrella company)

  • 37.5 hours per week, 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday

  • Initial contract period of 2-3 months, which is likely to go beyond that


This position is commutable from - Burton upon Trent, Tamworth, Cannock, Walsall, Lichfield, Burntwood


Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced, suitably qualified Mechanical Fitter / Fabricator to join an existing team. They offer a friendly environment and excellent working conditions.


Candidate Requirements


  • The role will focus on Assembling and Fitting. This will entail marking out, drilling and some remedial work.

  • Welding and small fabrications.

  • The ideal candidate will be trained, holding suitable relevant qualifications, whilst being able to display proven experience from similar positions.

  • The successful applicant must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings; fit bearings, shafts, and other parts to an acceptable engineering standard; modify or adjust parts as required with excellent machining and welding ability and competently use hand and power tools, test equipment and measuring instruments; inspect and check fitted parts and sub-assemblies; adhere to H&S procedures and SSOW.

  • Knowledge of Hydraulics & pneumatics Engineering.

  • Occasional international travel may be required

  • Holding a FLT license and banksman certificate would be an advantage.
