Job summary

A leading rotary-wing maintenance team in Shawbury is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanical Fitter to ensure the highest standards of safety and operational readiness for H135/H145 helicopters. Responsibilities include carrying out maintenance, supporting flight operations, and maintaining hangar areas. Candidates should possess relevant qualifications and experience in aircraft maintenance with a strong understanding of engine systems. Knowledge of military aviation regulations is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Qualified in Aircraft Maintenance or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of engine and air frame systems.
  • Experience in Line and Base Maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out Line and Base Maintenance on H135/H145 helicopters.
  • Support Flight Operations and assist with aircraft movements.
  • Maintain workshop and hangar areas for smooth day-to-day running.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Aircraft Mechanical Fitter to join a leading rotary-wing maintenance team supporting the UK Military at Shawbury.
The Role:

You’ll be responsible for carrying out Line and Base Maintenance, inspections, and repairs on H135/H145 helicopters, ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational readiness. The position includes supporting Flight Operations, assisting with aircraft movements, and maintaining workshop and hangar areas to ensure smooth day-to-day running.

What We\'re Looking For:
  • Apprenticeship-qualified in Aircraft Maintenance or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of engine and air frame systems
  • Proven experience in Line and Base Maintenance environments
  • Experience with rotary-wing platforms.
  • Knowledge of military aviation or CAA Part 145/Part M regulations desirable
Additional Requirements:
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
  • DBS Checks will be undertaken and an UK SC clearance will be undertaken once started
