About the Mechanical Fitter Role

We are currently seeking two skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitters to join our dynamic manufacturing teams in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals with a strong background in mechanical assembly and a proven track record working in fast‑paced production environments.

The ideal candidates will be detail‑oriented, safety‑conscious, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively to meet production targets and quality standards.

Mechanical Fetter Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical assembly and sub‑assembly of components to exact specifications.
  • Interpret and work from assembly drawings, schematics, and 3D models.
  • Use hand and power tools accurately and safely in line with operational and quality procedures.
  • Assemble components efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues using initiative within set guidelines.
  • Work closely with team members and cross‑functional departments to solve production challenges.
  • Ensure all tasks comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
What You Need to Succeed as a Mechanical Fetter
  • Previous experience in mechanical fitting or a similar manufacturing role.
  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering or actively working towards one.
