Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Preston is seeking a Mechanical Fitter with a recognised craft engineering apprenticeship. The role is fully onsite, 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday, with a focus on maintaining production and project programmes and improving safety and housekeeping within the work area.

You will contribute to improvement projects, stay updated with trade developments, and assist in training others to the required standards, while complying with all safety and policy requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have recognised craft engineering apprenticeship as a Mechanical Fitter.
• Four GCSEs (grade C or above) including Maths, English and Science, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering skills to internal and external customers to agreed standards.
• Contribute to maintenance of production and project programmes.
• Contribute to improving a safe environment and general housekeeping in own area.
• Participate in improvement projects and initiatives.
• Keep up-to-date with developments in the trade and apply them at work where appropriate.
• Assist in training and development of others to appropriate standards.
• Comply with safety, quality, risk, security and other company policies.

Description/Scopeofwork

Provision of engineering skills to internal/external customers to agreed standards.

Active involvement in improvement projects/initiatives.

Maintain awareness of the developments in own trade and apply to workplace where appropriate.

Where appropriate, assist in the training and development of others to appropriate standards.

Complies with all legislative, regulatory and company policy standards and procedures e.g. safety, quality, risk, security etc. applicable to the role.

Requiredexperience/qualifications

Recognised craft engineering apprenticeship Mechanical Fitter.

4 GCSE's (grade C or above) in Maths, English, Science and one other subject or equivalent qualification
