Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter at their Manchester facility. You will assemble and fit specialist vehicle bodies, read engineering drawings, and operate a range of workshop tools to deliver high-quality work.

The role includes a 44-hour week with flexible options and a pension scheme. The ideal candidate has experience as a Mechanical Fitter, can read drawings accurately, and is reliable with good time management.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit specialist commercial vehicle bodies with precision and safety.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders.
• Safely operate hand tools, measuring equipment, and workshop machinery.
• Install insulated panels on refrigerated vehicle bodies.
• Complete electrical terminations including lighting, switches, and tail lifts.
• Seal joints, floors, and roofs using silicone and specialist coatings.
• Cut and prepare metal, timber, and plastic components using workshop tools.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the workshop and at site locations.
• Follow all health and safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies.
• Support the wider production team with additional tasks as required.
