A well-established engineering business in Mold is seeking a Mechanical Fitter for a temporary role. The successful candidate will perform maintenance and mechanical installations, refurbish gearboxes and seals, and work in a shift pattern. Essential qualifications include prior mechanical fitting experience and relevant certification. Tools and PPE are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar Mechanical Fitter role.
• CSCS or CCNSG Card.
• Level 2 NVQ.

Recruit4staff are representing a well‑established engineering business in their search for a Mechanical Fitter to work in Mold

Job Details

• Pay: £23-£26 per hour
• Hours of Work: 12‑hour day and night shifts (7 am‑7 pm / 7 pm‑7 am), Monday to Sunday
• Duration: Temporary (Approx 2 weeks)
• Start date: 21st November 2025

Job Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance, as well as undertaking mechanical installations and modifications. The role involves refurbishing gearboxes, bearings, shafts, and seals, and supporting ongoing repairs to machinery on site.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar Mechanical Fitter role
• CSCS or CCNSG Card
• Level 2 NVQ

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ

Additional Information

• The successful Mechanical Fitter will need to provide their own tools and supply appropriate PPE, including long sleeve heat‑resistant orange overalls, steel‑toe cap work boots, safety glasses, hard hat, work gloves and ear defenders. Job‑specific PPE will be provided.
