Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Lincoln

Contract Details: Temporary, Full-Time (6 months)

Shifts: Mon - Fri 6am - 2:30pm

Salary: From £30 per hour

Responsibilities
  • As a Mechanical Fitter, you will: Assemble and install mechanical systems, sub-assemblies, and components like gas turbine engines, gearboxes, and generators according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections on completed assemblies
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Maintain a safe and tidy work environment
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience)
  • Relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience)
  • Experience in a similar industry
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Basic welding or fabrication skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in engineering
