Job summary

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Mechanical Fitter for permanent work in Kirkcaldy. You will maintain and repair heavy production equipment, with emphasis on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, compressed services and related plant.

The role is a 38-hour week on a three‑shift basis with regular overtime paid at enhanced rates. Benefits include a company pension, sick pay, discount vouchers, medical cover after a qualifying period and 34 days’ holiday. Immediate starts available.

Qualifications

• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Cooling towers and refrigeration experience is beneficial.
• Basic electrical knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of heavy production equipment.
• Work with compressed systems.
• Handle high‑pressure hot water systems including boilers, hydraulics and conveyors.
• Maintain and service cooling towers and refrigeration systems.

Connect Appointments are seeking a Mechanical Fitter for permanent work in Kirkcaldy.

As Mechanical Fitter, you will be working on:

• Maintenance and repair of heavy production equipment
• Compressed systems
• High-pressure hot water systems including package boilers, hydraulics, and conveyors systems
• Cooling towers and refrigeration

The ideal Mechanical Fitter will have:

• Hydraulic & Pneumatics experience
• Cooling towers and refrigeration experience (beneficial)
• Basic Electrical knowledge (beneficial)

What to expect from the role:

• 38-hour working week on a three-shift basis
