Job description

Our client is a Main/Principal Contractor within the Water, Industrial, MOD, and Power Sectors and is looking for a Mechanical Fitter based at their Derbyshire office. Our internal team play an integral role ensuring each project is carried out safely, within programme, is aligned to budget and completed to the highest standard. We pride ourselves on our integrity, competency, transparency and openness with clients and our entire supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Install pipe work and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring all associated standards are adhered to.
• Install pipework, valves, pumps, motors and other equipment.
• Carry out planned maintenance checks.
• Undertake assigned activities under the direction of the Supervisor or Team Leader.
• Adhere to strict safety regulations.
• Learn about new mechanical & piping legislation.
• Ensure all work is completed to the appropriate levels of safety, quality & cost.
• Take care of any safety equipment/tools provided and ensure they are used correctly.

Skills / Qualifications / Certifications

• Demonstrable experience in a mechanical fitting role.
• CSCS Card.
• Manual Handling.
• Pressure Safety Systems Regulations (PSSR).
