Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking Mechanical and Electrical Fitters/Engineers for refurbishment and overhaul projects across the printing, packaging and medical device sectors.

Based in Dewsbury, you will strip down, refurbish and install equipment, with travel to customer sites in the UK and overseas. The role suits an apprentice-trained individual with a background in machinery assembly, maintenance or installation, and who can operate at customer sites as required.

Qualifications

• Must be apprentice trained and have experience in machinery assembly, maintenance or installation.
• Experience with refurbishments and overhauls is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Strip down old machinery for refurbishment.
• Refurbish in our facility and on customer sites in the UK and overseas.
• Remove machinery from customer sites in the UK and overseas.
• Install new or overhauled equipment at customer sites.
• Attend breakdowns and perform fault finding and repairs on customer sites.
• Some travel within the UK and overseas for short periods.

Job description

We have a requirement for Mechanical Fitters/Engineers and Electrical Fitters/Engineers to carry out machinery overhaul and refurbishment on various types of machinery and equipment from the printing, packaging and medical device industries

Duties

• Complete strip down of old machinery for refurbishment.
• Carrying out refurbishments in our facility and on customer sites in the UK and overseas.
• Removal of machinery and equipment from customer sites in the UK and overseas.
• Installation of new equipment and overhauled equipment into customer sites
• Attending breakdowns, fault finding and repairing at customers sites.
• Machinery installations and removals. would require some work away in the UK and overseas for short periods.

Position would suit someone who is apprentice trained and has an experienced background in machinery assembly, machinery maintenance or machinery installation and who is local to the Dewsbury area.

Initial Duration is initially around 3 months but for the right people will be ongoing.
