Job summary

About us

They're a small, dynamic precision engineering company specialising in the design and manufacture of high-tolerance components for a range of industries including aerospace, automotive and bespoke machinery. They're currently seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our team. You'll be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, and build of mechanical equipment and systems across a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and fitting of mechanical components and systems from engineering drawings
  • Routine maintenance and fault-finding
  • Installation and testing of mechanical systems in a factory/workshop or on-site setting
  • Working from detailed technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
Key Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering/Fitting
  • Proven experience in a mechanical fitting role (Manufacturing environment)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence (for site-based work)
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic system
