They provide full mechanical and electrical services from design and build to facilities management. Projects typically range from £250k to £6m in value, with a client base that includes schools, hospitals, high-rise apartments, and even football stadiums. You'll be joining a close-knit estimating team backed by strong commercial and operational support.

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing detailed mechanical cost estimates and tender submissions across multiple sectors
• Reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Performing quantity take-offs and pricing labour, plant, and materials
• Sourcing competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
• Supporting design development during the tender stage
• Creating tender summaries and assisting with handovers to project delivery teams
• Working closely with directors and senior commercial leads on bid strategy
• Using on-screen take-off and estimating software (training provided if needed)

Skills & Experience Required

• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the building services industry
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and pipework
• Experience estimating projects between £250k and £6m
• Confident in interpreting technical documentation and drawings
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working independently or as part of a wider pre-construction team
