Ensera Design in Bristol is seeking an Engineering Placement Intern for a year-long placement starting September 2027. You will work with a multidisciplinary team on client projects, applying classroom knowledge to real-world challenges and developing practical skills at an award-winning design consultancy.
Responsibilities include supporting high-quality engineering work, applying principles to product development, and contributing to prototyping and testing across multiple disciplines.
Every year at Ensera Design, we select a number of talented students to join our team through placement opportunities. Many of our former interns have gone on to build successful careers, and several are now valued members of the Ensera team.
We’re looking for an Engineering Placement Intern to join us for a year-long placement starting in September 2027. You’ll work alongside our multidisciplinary engineering team on a variety of exciting client projects, applying your academic knowledge to real-world challenges and developing your skills within an award-winning design consultancy.
Ensera Design is a world-class user-centred innovation and product development consultancy, specializing in the medical and consumer health sectors. As part of Ensera, we collaborate globally with contract manufacturing facilities in Europe, the USA, and Asia, alongside additional design and product development teams in New Jersey and Colorado.
As an Mechanical Engineering Intern, you’ll become a valued member of the team and contribute to a variety of multidisciplinary projects throughout your placement.
You will:
You’re currently studying Mechanical Engineering or a similar degree and are looking to gain valuable industrial experience before completing your studies.
You’re enthusiastic, curious and eager to learn, with a desire to apply what you’ve learned at university to real-world engineering challenges.
