Job summary

An international insurance organization is seeking an Engineer Surveyor to ensure compliance in Mechanical disciplines. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant engineering qualification and have experience with steam and compressed air systems. Qualifications

  • Must hold or work towards relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification.
  • Experience with steam generation, compressed air systems.
  • Strong customer interaction and communication skills are essential.
  • Holder of a full valid Irish/EU/UK driving license.
  • Independently organize work weekly.

Job description
Salary Information

Pay: Starting Salary €61,500 per year.

Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

Location

Great Dublin, Leinster - Ireland.

Occasional requirement to travel to Northern Ireland

About You
  • Up to date on your knowledge and understanding of all relevant compliance and regulatory rules and procedures that relate to the Pressure Mechanical discipline.
  • Making well informed decisions, and willing to take responsibility.
  • Being effective at short, medium and long-term planning, in order to diarise meetings, visits and work allocation.
  • Being able to travel effectively within your allocated work area.
  • Processing documentation, as well as undertaking general administration in a timely manner.
  • Willingness to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors (of own discipline) as and when required.
Essential Skills
  • Successful candidates are required to hold, or be working towards, a minimum qualification in Mechanical Engineering at level 4 (UK) or level 6 (Ireland) i.e. HND/HNC/Full Technological Certificate
  • A background working with steam generation, compressed air and associated plant ideally with manufacturing (QA and production), maintenance and operation, repair and site inspection experience
  • Strong customer interaction skills are essential, including good oral and written communication skills.
  • A holder of a full valid Irish/EU/UK driving licence.
  • Time management skills are essential as you will be required to independently organise your week's work in an effective manner.
  • As tablets and smartphones are crucial tools for an Engineer Surveyor, you will need to be comfortable using these as part of your working day.
