Job summary

Adept:Us is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a large-scale South Wales facility. You will lead maintenance projects and drive reliability across the site, working with heavy industrial plant and equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include planning preventive maintenance, managing shutdowns, and coaching a team of Mechanical Technicians to minimise downtime while improving plant performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing, industrial processing or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance and reliability engineering.
• Experience leading engineering projects and developing maintenance teams.
• Hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage preventative maintenance activities, shutdowns and reactive repairs.
• Lead mechanical projects from planning through to completion.
• Ensure work is carried out safely through risk assessments, permits and method statements.
• Support reliability improvements and identify opportunities to increase plant performance.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of Mechanical Technicians.
