A leading energy job board in Swindon is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide mechanical engineering support on Water and Fuel projects. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience in the design and development of mechanical systems. Proficiency in software such as SOLIDWORKS is essential. This is a permanent position requiring on-site work.

Position Details

Position: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Swindon
Job Type: Permanent / Fully Onsite

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide general mechanical engineering support to certain company projects with a particular focus on Water and Fuel projects.

  • Devise initial concepts, develop detailed design, design integration and validate/review mechanical systems.
  • Plan, participate in, and report on equipment/system integration trials.
  • Deliver in accordance with defined performance criteria and stakeholder expectations.
  • Produce detailed specifications and scopes of work and review/report on supplier’s submissions.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Degree level education in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience supporting the design and development of mechanical systems in previous projects.
  • Working knowledge of design software packages such as SOLIDWORKS, Inventor and PDMS.
  • Previous experience in Water Treatment industries or equipment is highly desirable.

Candidates who are currently a Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Mechanical Project Engineer or Senior Mechanical Engineer may be suitable for this position.
