A leading energy solutions provider is seeking a temporary Mechanical Engineer to work at a commercial power site outside of Ashford in Kent. Responsibilities include repairing bespoke electro-mechanical equipment and testing project areas with minimal supervision. The role offers a day rate of £300, with working hours from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and a contract length of 3 months.

Mechanical Engineer's Required

Padstone are looking for a temp mechanical engineer to join a commercial power site outside of Ashford in Kent.

Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain a range of bespoke electro-mechanical equipment on an industrial site.
  • Work Monday – Friday weekly.
  • Test various areas of the projects with minimal or no supervision where required.
Details
  • Paying a day rate £300 weekly paid CIS or LTD, working Mon to Fri. Working hours 7:30–16:30. Overtime available if desired.
  • Contract length: 3 months.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Applicants must have previous experience in a similar role and be able to test various areas of the projects with minimal or no supervision.
  • Competent experience and knowledge in: Inbal Valves, Diesel Deluge Pumps, Electric Hydrant Pumps, MJC System in pump house, DB5 Vave (M20 Tunnel), Transformer Deluge systems, Poppet Valve shutdown controls, Compressors, Deluge Pressure vessel, Hydrant Systems, Dry Risers.
