Job summary
Nuada in Belfast is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, select, and commission key process equipment and structural components to translate carbon capture concepts into field deployments. You will work on design improvements for carbon capture plants, perform pressure vessel and piping calculations, develop 3D CAD models, and coordinate vendor activities, with reporting to the Engineering Manager.
The ideal candidate has a degree in mechanical engineering and around 5+ years in process
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- ~5+ years in process plants, EPC/EPCM, or pressure-equipment manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience in pressure vessel design and calculations.
- Strong piping design and plant layout experience.
- Proficient in 3D CAD modelling and GA/fabrication drawings.
Responsibilities
- Assist design and improvement of carbon capture plants.
- Execute mechanical design and calculations for vessels, piping, and equipment.
- Create 3D CAD models and GA/assembly drawings.
- Coordinate procurement, RFQs, and vendor clarifications.
- Support FAT, installation, commissioning, and safety reviews.
- Report to Engineering Manager.
