Job summary

Service Service in Leeds is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services across public and private sector developments. The role blends design, project management and client liaison with hybrid working.

You will develop drawings, specifications, tender documents and budgets, manage contracts and promote renewable technologies while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Membership of CIBSE or working towards Chartered status.
• Previous experience managing mechanical building services projects.
• Strong understanding of building services design and contract administration.
• Experience delivering refurbishment and alteration projects.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and industry-standard engineering practices.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage mechanical building services projects from concept through to completion.
• Produce drawings, specifications, tender documentation and budget estimates.
• Manage contracts and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Promote the use of renewable and energy-efficient technologies.
• Carry out site surveys, condition reports and asset inspections where required.

• Monitor project performance and maintain high technical and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement and mentor junior team members where appropriate.

Service Service is recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join a leading property and engineering consultancy based in Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to take the lead on the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects across a diverse portfolio of public and private sector developments.
