A leading engineering recruitment agency is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer for a contract role in London. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical design experience and a working knowledge of Revit (2D & 3D). Responsibilities include contributing to mechanical design projects, interpreting Revit models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role offers a competitive rate of £450-£500 per day.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven mechanical design experience.
• Working knowledge of Revit (2D & 3D) to understand model/drawing intent.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work independently.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to support a busy engineering team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical design experience and a working understanding of Revit (2D & 3D) to support coordination and interface with other disciplines.

Role Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and assemblies.

• Review and interpret Revit (2D & 3D) models and drawings for coordination purposes.

• Interface with BIM teams and understand Revit workflows.

• Support design reviews, prototyping, testing, and design validation activities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, R&D, and quality.

• Assist with technical problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.

• Proven mechanical design experience.

• Working knowledge of Revit (2D & 3D) to understand model/drawing intent and coordinate design activities (not for production).
