• Test products using standard test equipment.
• Program and test products (training provided).

Job description

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a well‑established client based in the Wallington area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for stable, full‑time work within a supportive and technical environment.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

8 neng.30am – 5:30pm

30‑minute unpaid lunch break

Pay Rate

£12.50 per hour and above, dependent onியில் experience

Key Responsibilities

• Hand placement of surface mount devices (SMD), including small components down to 0402 size
• Reworking SMD and through‑hole PCBs by hand
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs using schematics
• Hand soldering of surface‑mount and through cap components
• Testing products using standard test equipment, including multimeters and oscilloscopes
• Programming and testing products (full training will be provided where required)

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience working in an engineering or electronics‑based role
• Strong experience with SMD placement and rework
• Confident fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read and understand schematics
• A methodical approach with strong attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
