Role and responsibilities

• As a Mechanical Engineer, contribute to projects that impact the environment and communities. Work primarily in the UK water market, providing feasibility, design, construction, and commissioning services to keep water flowing and wastewater treated.
• Develop the mechanical design of water and wastewater infrastructure and related projects through outline and detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover. Deliverables may include P&IDs, valve schedules, pump calculations, safe access and lifting arrangements, above-ground pipework layouts, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with the project team (Electrical, Civil, Geotech and Process designers) to ensure designs are completed on programme, within budget, and to defined quality standards.
• Collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient, practical and safe solutions throughout design, construction and beyond.
• Engage positively with clients, managing relationships and adopting a one-team approach to help them achieve their aims.

Qualifications and requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Working towards IEng / CEng with a relevant Engineering Institution.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Methodical approach to problem solving.
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the operational region.
