The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you play a vital role in supporting EDF to extend the operational life of Hartlepool Power Station. You contribute to both generation and post-generation activities, helping ensure the safe and efficient operation of one of the UK's key energy assets.

Day-to-day, you'll
  • Deliver technical fault finding and reporting to support operational excellence
  • Create and specify work packs for maintenance activities
  • Oversee and support safe execution of fuel route tasks
  • Apply operational and maintenance management procedures in daily practices
  • Ensure compliance with site licence requirements, statutory regulations, and safety rules

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Hartlepool Power Station, County Durham.

Essential experience of the Mechanical Engineer
  • Technical fault finding.
  • Procedure / task instruction creation.
  • Safe systems of work.
  • Compliance within regulated industry.
Qualifications for the Mechanical Engineer
  • Engineering degree preferred in relevant discipline.
  • HNC can be considered.
Security Clearance
