About The Role

We’re looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. You’ll play a key role in the full product lifecycle from concept and design to manufacturing and continuous improvement, working on complex scanning systems used in critical security environments.

What You’ll Do
  • Design and develop mechanical components including fabricated structures, sheet metalwork, machined parts, and hydraulic systems.
  • Create general arrangement and assembly drawings, along with detailed bills of materials.
  • Ensure mechanical designs integrate seamlessly with electrical and system components.
  • Participate in design reviews, project kick-offs, and customer meetings.
  • Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) through our document control system.
  • Collaborate with global teams in the US (Boston) and India (Hyderabad), uploading designs into our PLM system.
What We’re Looking For
  • HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Strong experience in designing large, fabricated products and electro‑mechanical assemblies.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential; experience with Autodesk Inventor is a plus.
  • Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Agile) is beneficial.
  • Background in design for manufacture and production environments.
  • Solid understanding of engineering calculations and their practical application.
